Electrification is a difference maker.

And it continues to transform our business and shape end-user expectations, especially for the trades. Today’s tradespeople value the convenience, quiet, and freedom of high-powered battery technology. Battery-operated products are safer, deliver significantly lower emissions, and are much quieter than their gasoline- or hydraulic-powered counterparts. Our advances in battery technology are driving these other power tools off the job site.

But it’s more than just cordless drills and saws. Electrification is transforming every aspect of work and home life, from industrial infrastructure and automotive assembly equipment to gas-free lawncare products in residential garages. As end-user demand evolves and accelerates, so does our innovation.

Electrification Goal

The 52% intensity based Scope 3 goal applies to product energy use and our electrification strategy will drive us towards this goal.

The auto industry is shifting faster and faster away from gas engines to electric vehicles. We need to be part of that solution. Just as we’re driving hard at the electrification strategy of our outdoor business.
